ABOUT

Rob Hodge is an experienced horticulturist with over 30 years' experience in traditional horticulture.

I spent 19 years as head gardener at Tredegar House - a 17th century mansion in Newport, South Wales. During this period I was involved in the restoration of all the major gardens across this 90 acre estate, and saw the work nationally recognised in 1998 by winning the award for the Best Kept Parks and Gardens in Britain.

Following this, I spent five years assessing and training NVQ students, which led to me starting my own business in 2003. Rob Hodge Horticulture specialises in soft landscaping - creating and maintaining gardens with plants in mind.

My services include planting eye catching hanging baskets and containers, lawn care and creating rockeries and herb gardens. My passion is for period gardens and I specialise in restoring gardens lost in time - recreating a garden to match the period and architectural style of the adjoining home.
